(VLMS), is pleased to announce the commencement of intermodal logistics services for Export and Import cargo and containers from its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Borkhedi. This ICD is part of the Integrated Logistics Park (ILP) of DLI, which is located approximately 34 kms from Nagpur and around 10 kms from Butibori Industrial Area.
Nagpur, located almost at the centre of the country, is the natural choice for a logistics hub. It is at the crossing point of roads and railways in all four directions and has convenient links to almost all cargo generation and consumption centres of India. The fact that Nagpur lies on the flight paths of numerous international air routes resulted in the creation of MIHAN. A well planned and well-connected multi-modal logistics hub close to Nagpur with a wide basket of services and latest IT based automated logistics platform will naturally benefit the industries and trade in the entire region around Nagpur. DLI has created the Integrated Logistics Park at Borkhedi on the basis of this fundamental logistics reality. The imminent introduction of GST has further strengthened DLI\’s belief in the future of Nagpur as a major logistics hub of the country.
- Providing a large basket of services, DLI has created the basic infrastructure at the ILP at Borkhedi for:

- Rail linked Domestic Container Terminal
- First Mile and Last Mile connectivity by road
- Automobile Logistics Park for automobiles
- Liquid Tank Farm for liquid cargo
- Private Freight Terminal for break bulk cargo
- Dedicated Warehousing for transit and bonded cargo, domestic cargo and cargo managed under long term contracts
- Best-in-class IT Systems
The infrastructure for all the above services, except Dedicated Warehousing is ready. Large warehouses, with state-of-art automated cargo handling facilities are being planned for esteemed customers of DLI with customised warehousing and distribution solutions. DLI expects to commission these Dedicated Warehouses before the end of this financial year.
