July 16, 2020: Global port operator DP World Ltd is in advanced talks to buy Shreyas Shipping and Logistics Ltd and Avana Global Logistek Ltd from Dubai-based Transworld Group promoted by Indian businessman Ramesh Ramakrishnan, according to multiple sources.
Shreyas has a market share of over 90 per cent in the export-import (EXIM) transhipment business and more than 52 per cent in the domestic container business. It is a preferred partner of most Main Line operators.
