Global logistics company, DP World has shown great commitment to help communities across India in the fight against Coronavirus for the last one year. The company’s sustainability strategy, ‘Our World, Our Future’, provides guidelines to work in a responsible way that prioritises sustainability and impact on the people, communities and environment in which it operates.
Throughout the pandemic, DP World has facilitated the movement of various critical and essential goods like Vaccines, Medicines, Raw Materials for face masks / sanitizers, rice, wheat, pulses, fruits, and other cargo. The company also assisted NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders to move hospital beds, ventilators and other critical shipments. DP World employees are diligently working in these challenging times, to provide uninterrupted services to customers, communities, and the Nation.
In April 2020, DP World rolled out a strategic program to provide COVID-19 relief support. The program included several initiatives to support less privileged and migrant workers impacted by the outbreak of the pandemic. The company has been constantly assisting frontline workers and hospitals across India. DP World has distributed 34 new portable medical ventilators to hospitals across its operating locations in India. The end-to-end movement of ventilators was done by DP World from UAE to India. The company has also donated 5000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kits and 33,000 W95 Masks to Mumbai Police.

We are also heavily investing in India’s Cold Chain Infrastructure with our pan India network of cold chain warehouses and large fleet of refrigerated vehicles which can support primary, secondary & last mile distribution of vaccine across India.” Throughout the pandemic, DP World partnered with Akshaya Patra and several other NGOs to provide cooked meals and other relief material to those who depend on daily wages or have lost their livelihoods. The company distributed dry ration kits to the local communities in which it operates.
