An agreement has been reached with India to build a dry port across the Mahakali in Dodhara Chandani, which will help in improving trade with India, informed Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. the port would directly connect Sudurpaschim with Mumbai in India and would make a significant contribution to the development of the Sudurpaschim province. The Nepal government is committed to formulating a necessary action plan for the rapid development of Sudurpaschim Province. He said that Sudurpaschim Province has the potential to become the richest province in the country if human resource development and investment were protected.   Prime Minister Deuba said that special attention should be paid to the development of the Mahakali River, West Seti Hydropower Project for the development of Sudurpaschim Province. He also urged all parties concerned to work hand in hand for the development of the province by emphasizing on human development.
