All our terminals in India, namely PSA Mumbai, PSA Chennai, PSA Kolkata and PSA Sical
in Tuticorin are continuing to operate as part of the essential services highlighted by the
Government, with added safety and hygiene measures. We appreciate everyone’s efforts
throughout the supply chain as we together strive to keep things moving. To date we’ve :-

  1. Extended free time for all imports by 3 days until 31st March 2020 at PSA Mumbai and
    PSA Sical.
  2. Waived Rail THC on empty containers on rakes at PSA Chennai and PSA Mumbai
connecting to/from vessels at those terminals and change of mode charges from road to
rail for both empty and laden containers until 30th April 2020.

In the past 5 days nearly 700 TEU has been railed to nearby ICDs from PSA Chennai and
PSA Mumbai. We are very grateful to Indian Railways, Customs, carriers, CTOs and ICDs
for their actions, as this reduces the pressure on road transport given the current shortage of drivers. En-bloc railing of containers with Customs approval is taking place regularly from PSA Chennai to Concor’s TNPM.

After further review, we are extending the additional 3 days free time for all import
containers, laden and empty at PSA Mumbai and PSA Sical until 15th April 2020.
We urge customers to continue efforts to evacuate containers as soon as possible. To
ensure sufficient space at our terminals to maintain productivity levels, we may from time to time pre-emptively evacuate containers by rail with Customs approval.
