First indigenous container developed to transport green Hydrogen

Going beyond the normal ISO containers, this box features 9 doors and 7 ventilators. It is equipped with Stack Arrangement Unit, Cooling Unit, Water Treatment Plant, Air-Cooler, Rectifier, Hydrogen Purification Unit, Electrical Cabinet & Exhaust Fan.

Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL), a Miniratna-1 CPSU under Ministry of Railways, has developed India’s first container to transport green Hydrogen.

The 40ft x 8ft x 9.6ft container uses renewable energy for conducting electrolysis of water to split it into Hydrogen and Oxygen. The container is very well insulated and ventilated and uses energy from sources like solar and wind. After successful installation, commissioning and testing, BCL is expecting more orders from different sectors and industry houses. Going beyond the normal ISO containers, this box features 9 doors and 7 ventilators. It is equipped with Stack Arrangement Unit, Cooling Unit, Water Treatment Plant, Air-Cooler, Rectifier, Hydrogen Purification Unit, Electrical Cabinet & Exhaust Fan. The product Hydrogen will be purified through purification unit- Air cooler/ Cooling Unit (Chiller Unit) to be installed on the roof.
