Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways told delegates of the All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) on Saturday that the foundation stone of the facilities will be laid in Badarpur and Karimganj before or after the Lok Sabha polls.
ACKHSA chief advisor Rupam Nandi Purkayasthya on Sunday said a seven-member team met Sonowal at his residence in New Delhi on Saturday and submitted a memorandum to him seeking the fulfillment of two demands , including the setting up of cargo terminals in Karimganj and Badarpur and of a govt homeopathic college in Cachar under the Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy ministry.
