The development follows a series of meetings organised in December 2023 between representatives of “Uzbekistan Temir Yullari” JSC and the “Turkmendemiryollary” agency in Istanbul, during which speeding up the transit of container trains through the territories of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan and back was planned. Special tariff rates have also been planned for transportation of containers through the territories of the parties. About 20 containers containing ceramic cargo have been shipped from the port of Bandar Abbas to Sarakhs, for finally arriving at the railway station of Chukursai (Uzbekistan).
