Gateway Rail flags off dedicated train from ICD-Sahnewal to Mundra Port

GatewayRail recently flagged off a dedicated train carrying 90 TEUs for Bellatrix Logistics (India) Pvt. Ltd from ICD-Sahnewal to Mundra Port. The movement was carried out with focus to connect the consignee’s containers to target vessel schedule.

The movement was a collaborative effort of GatewayRail and Bellatrix Logistics, a group company of Emirates Shipping Line, to provide customised one-window solution to customers. GatewayRail is a pioneer in providing customised dedicated train services in both import and export directions as per the needs of its customers. It operates a substantial number of scheduled dedicated train services for its major clients.

At a ceremony organised by GatewayRail, the train carrying export-laden containers was flagged off by Mr Gurmail Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, in the presence of Mr Parampreet Rai, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Mr Yassir Luqman, Mr Deveshwar Sharma and Mr Rajesh Sharma from Bellatrix Logistics, Mr Pardeep Negi and Mr Dharampal from S. R. International, and Mr Rakesh Raina from Trans Asia Line.

The GatewayRail team, led by Mr Chandrakant Patil, Terminal Head, including Mr Rajeev Sharma, Head-EXIM Sales, and Mr M. Chandra Shekhar Sharma, Head-Operations, were also present on the occasion along with other team members.
