GMB planning brownfield port in Bhavnagar

Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) has invited proposals under Section 10 of GID Act, 1999, for comparative bids for “Selection of developer for setting up Brownfield Port at North side of Bhavnagar Port under Swiss Challenge Route (SCR) in Bhavnagar District, Gujarat, through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode based on the BOOT Policy and Port Policy of Gujarat”.

It is eliciting Request for Proposal (RFP) from firms possessing financial, technical and managerial capabilities of CNG and other cargo terminals to be a developer of this project. The selected bidder shall have the freedom to develop the project according to the BOOT policy of the government of Gujarat, said a communiqué.

GMB has adopted “Two Stage” process which includes Technical Bid and Financial Bid. Interested parties can download the RFP document from GMB’s website. The last date for submission of RFP is February 13, 2020 at 1700 hours, the communiqué informed.

The Pre-Bid meeting with the interested bidders shall be held on January 24, 2020 at 1200 hours at the GMB head office in Gandhinagar
