Hapag Lloyd announces changes to South East India – Europe Express (IEX) service

The IEX service is being modified and by the end of July the service will stop calling the ports of Le Havre, France and Visakhapatnam, India.

The IEX service will further add Valencia, Spain (CSP Terminal) and switch from Gateway to PSA Terminal in Antwerp, Belgium.

The revised rotation will be: Rotterdam (Netherlands) -> London Gateway (UK) -> Hamburg (Germany) -> Antwerp (Belgium) -> Colombo (Sri Lanka) -> Kattupalli (India) -> Colombo -> Kochi (India) -> Valencia (Spain) -> Rotterdam, NL.

In a separate announcement Hapag Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI)/ General Rate Adjustment (GRA) of $1000 per container from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to North America. The GRI will apply to 20’ and 40’ dry, reefer and special containers, including high cube equipment, and will be effective from September 1 until further notice.
