The extension of the Haryana Logistics, Warehousing and Retail Policy, 2019 and the schemes notified under it till the new Haryana Logistics, Warehousing & Retail Policy was agreed by the Haryana Cabinet, which convened in Chandigarh under the supervision of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The Haryana Logistics, Warehouse & Retail Policy, 2019 provides a number of financial incentives to lower operating costs and encourage investments in Haryana’s retail, warehouse, and logistics industries. In addition to assistance with capacity training, the units are supported by investment incentives such as capital subsidies, interest subsidies, stamp duty reimbursement, EDC reimbursement, and electricity duty exemption.
The policy’s main goal is to make regulations and processes for the retail, warehousing, and logistics industries simpler. Along with supporting human capital development programs aimed at building a labor pool qualified for these industries, it seeks to build high-quality, cost-competitive multi-modal logistics and storage infrastructure as well as retail-oriented infrastructure, the release continued.
In addition to building a robust environment for completing high-profile industry and infrastructure projects, the program seeks to draw private sector and PPP investments in the logistics, warehousing, and retail sectors. According to the statement, it also aims to promote the use and advancement of updated technologies in these industries.
The Haryana Logistics, Warehousing & Retail Policy, 2024 is currently being notified by the Department of Industries & Commerce. The 2019 policy ended on March 8, 2024, after a five-year validity period. Until December 31, 2024, or until the final Logistics, Warehousing & Retail Policy, 2024 is approved, whichever comes first, the Cabinet has extended the same.
