The Indo Belgian Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBLCCI) organized a seminar on the 10th. of November 2017 at the Bombay Stock Exchange , to commemorate the State Visit of Their Majesties, the King and the Queen of the Kingdom of Belgium to India.
Hon. Minister for Foreign Trade of Belgium, H. E. Mr. Pieter De Crem graced the occasion as Chief Guest and rang the opening bell along with the President of IBLCCI, Mr. Ravindra Gandhi (R. J. Gandhi Group), marking the start of the trading day. It was followed by testimonials from various Belgian companies that have set up their businesses in India, fostering the Indo-Belgian relationship.
Mr. Gandhi welcomed the gathering and Mr. Anish Chakravarty, Vice President, IBLCCI set the tone for interesting discussions ahead.
Mr. Nayan Mehta, Chief Financial Officer of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), in his address explained on the workings of BSE and various initiatives taken by the organisation, one example of which, is the incubator provided for start-up ventures.
Companies that participated with their testimonials were Ecophos, The Vermerien Group and Kois Invest. The event was well attended and participants were from various sectors like Logistics, Law, Finance etc. and also organisations like The Embassy of Belgium, Trade Commissioners Office, Tata Consultancy Services, Deloitte to name a few, were well represented.
Their Majesties were on a five day State Visit to India, Mumbai being the last leg of their tour.
