Inland Container Depot, Tughlakabad (ICD TKD) is a flagship terminal of CONCOR under the Ministry of Railways. It is operating 24×7 with the support of all concerned stakeholders. Since the last two days certain sections of local road transportation associations have been posing non-cooperation by way of not operating their vehicles with ulterior motives. They have even gone to the extent of dissuading certain members of the trade not to avail the services of the terminal, and have also discouraged them to enter into the terminal. However, with active support of local police, efforts have been made to ensure movement of other vehicles.
The very act of these local road transport associations has been found unfavourable to the trade, and trade representatives and the Customs have found it improper.
In view of it, it is for the information of all concerned stakeholders that ICD TKD has successfully regained its business volumes post COVID-19 lockdown during FY2020-21 with due cooperation extended by all stakeholders. However, these associations, despite of several rounds of talks with CONCOR officials, remained non-cooperative maliciously. Further, ICD TKD has been advising them regularly to cooperate by operating their own vehicles too, for the benefit of the trade and all.
All concerned stakeholders are hereby intimated to not fall prey to the false information spread by these associations, and extend cooperation to make ICD TKD function smoothly to help the trade and economy of the Govt. of India.
