Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s No.1 Container Port located in Navi Mumbai, celebrated the 70th Independence with traditional gaiety and fervour on Monday 15th August, 2016. On this occasion, the Chairman of JNPT, Shri Anil Diggikar hoisted the National Flag, followed by National Anthem.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman recalled the contribution of the brave freedom fighters who laid down their lives during the freedom movement of India. He also highlighted JNPT’s performance, future development plans and CSR activities. Shri Diggikar complimented the officers, staff and CISF personnel for their contribution towards making JNPT India’s No.1 Container Port. On this occasion, as a socially responsible organisation a free eye check-up camp was organised and inaugurated by Chairman for the Truck drivers and cleaners coming to the Port from all over India.
The function was attended by JNPT officers, staff, students of JNPT schools, Trustees, CISF personnel & family members.
