India has formally established a shipping link to Chabahar with the recent arrival of the first such ship, a 3,700-TEU box vessel, to the port. This was announced in a release from the Iranian Prime Minister’s office, as per reports in the Iranian media.

It has been decided that regular ships from three Indian ports – Mumbai, Kandla and Mundra – will now regularly go to the Iranian port every two weeks.
