India actively participated in the second meeting of the Supply Chain Council (SCC) under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF). As the Vice-Chair, India emphasized the importance of building resilient supply chains in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly in sectors like chemicals, critical minerals, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals.
The SCC’s focus on addressing supply chain challenges and promoting collaboration among member countries is crucial for ensuring a stable and secure global supply chain. India’s leadership in the Pharma/Healthcare Action Plan Team is particularly significant, given its role as a global pharmaceutical hub.
By participating in the IPEF and the SCC, India aims to strengthen its position in the global supply chain, promote economic growth, and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable global economy.
