Considering the growth in trade between Iran and India, Indian ports as well as Iran’s Chabahar Port are very important, and India will fulfil all its commitments with regard to Chabahar despite the economic hurdles, said Mr Gaddam Dharmendra, Indian Ambassador to Tehran, during a recent meeting on exploring the investment potential and opportunities in the port, as per a report.
India Ports Global Pvt. Ltd had announced earlier this year that it is committed to investing up to $ 500 million to develop Chabahar Port in southern Iran as a strategic hub. It has been tasked with administering and running the terminal of the first phase of ‘Beheshti harbour’ at the port, the report said.
