According to the Amsterdam dockers’ unions, the SUNNY LIGER oil tanker will not dock in Amsterdam since all of the enterprises that handle arriving ships, starting with tugs, refuse to offer services to tankers. The tanker SUNNY LIGER, which was filled with oil in Primorsk, Russia, was denied by Sweden, although not by Swedish officials, but by dockers in Gothenburg, who refused to handle the ship. Strictly speaking, tankers according to restrictions imposed on Russia, falls under “exceptions” portion of sanctions, but nevertheless. The tanker travelled to the Netherlands, but the Rotterdam dockers union refused to operate with Russian cargo once again, forcing the SUNNY LIGER to relocate to the Amsterdam outer anchorage in the North Sea, where she arrived late on April 29. So the tanker as of Apr 30, is hanging around in Kattegat and North Sea for some 6 days already, looking for a chance to get rid of Russian oil.
