JNPA will upgrade its container handling capacity to 10 million teus by April next year. In H1FY25, JNPA handled 7.4 million TEUs, and this capacity is being upgraded to 10.4 million TEUs by April next year. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, the port handled 6.4 million TEUs.

JNPA has also inked two MoUs, including one between the JNPA, Vadhvan Port, and REC for the disbursement of loans to support various infrastructure projects.
Letters of Intent (LoI) have also been issued to SEZ concessionaires. JNPA has allotted plots in 7 phases, with the recent e-auction of Phase 7 for 57 acres, attracting 21 bidders for 6 unit plots and 3 co-developer plots. The bids were 95.23% higher than the reserve price, resulting in a 63% increase in revenue for JNPA compared to the reserve price.
