: MSC SOLA (LOA-366 mtrs, GRT-13771, Capacity-12700 TEUs) drawing a draft of 15.20 mtrs was berthed at Nhava Sheva (India) Gateway Terminal (NSIGT) on 28th March, 2017. This is the deepest container vessel handled at JNPT till date. Maintenance dredging of the Port channel and basin has been carried out in the recent past and the Marine Dept. of the Port utilized the presence of spring tides to bring the vessel at the berth on top of high water.  JNPort is repeatedly achieving milestones in terms of vessel size to facilitate faster turnaround and reinforce JN Port’s position as leading container Port in the country.
