Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), India’s premier container port and Antwerp Port Authority organized a Knowledge Session on “Gateways for trade between the India-Europe corridors” today at Hotel Marriott, Indore in association with Associated Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd.
The session focused on the role of Ports in international trade and supply chain ecosystem, innovations impacting the sector and the various initiatives to be undertaken for seamless gateway to customers trading via ocean between the India-Europe corridors.
While addressing the delegates at the knowledge session, Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPT said, “At JNPT, we benchmark our services against the best ports in the world and are constantly evolving to meet the demands of the global market. Indore is a significant market for us, therefore connectivity from here is extremely significant for and it will further increase the market economy of Indore and Madhya Pradesh. This will definitely open up an opportunity for enhancing cargo generation between Indore and JNPort.”
Indore is connected with JNPT through rail, CONCOR Container Corporation of India (P) Ltd. connects traffic of ICD Pithampur & Ratlam at JN Port and Distribution Logistics Infra Pvt. Ltd. connects traffic of ICD Dhannad at JN Port.
