JNPT concluded vigilance week with great commitment

To support the theme of Eradicate corruption and Build a New India

In accordance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission, JNPT celebrated vigilance awareness week with the theme of Eradicate Corruption-Build a new India between 29, October to 3 November 2018. Shri Neeraj Bansal, Chairman-in-Charge, JNPT administered the oath to the officers & staff of JNPT at the beginning of the vigilance week.

During the week, JNPT conducted various competitions such as essay competition,slogan writing competition, posters competition, elocution, interactive session with port users, workshop on preventive vigilance for the staff of JNPT and school children for support of eradication of corruption and build a new India theme.

JNPT also initiated street play to spread awareness of complete integrity and work to achieve a corruption free India. It also organised cartoon competition in various colleges to spread the awareness of vigilance week. JNPT staff participated for walkathon at NABARD,Bandra-Kurla Complex which organised by Vigilance study circle –Mumbai chapter. Posters of vigilance awareness week were displayed at prominent places such as Landing jetty, container shift office, port operation centre, bulk office, JNPT hospital, admin building, petrol pump and head office at Raheja centre.

Shri Anil Ramteke, IRSS,CVO, JNPT also shared motivation talk on success through ethical conduct with JNPT school children and he touched upon various topics to inspire children in their future career.

At conclusion of vigilance week, Shri Neeraj Bansal, IRS, Chairman-in-Charge,JNPT distributed prizes to winners of various competitions conducted for JNPT employees and JNPT school children. Further he said, “It is our responsibility as part of the Government to create a corruption free environment and deliver highest ethical standards of service.”

Further Mr Bansal suggested that the vigilance team should educate people to avoid corruption at any level of the organization and urge officers and staff to be honest with their respective responsibilities and create happiness at the workplace.

Vigilance awareness week concluded with overwhelming response from JNPT officers, staff and students from JNPT School and other colleges.
