Kabir Ahmed has been elected as president of Bangladesh Freight Forwarders Association and Amirul Islam Chowdhury elected as senior vice-president, Nurul Amin as vice-president (Dhaka), Khairul Alam (Suzan) as vice-president (Chattogram) for the term 2021-2023, said a press release on Sunday.

The elected directors are — Nasir Ahmed Khan, Aktar Kamal Chowdhury, Zahid Hossain, Md Khorshed Alam, Md KamruzzamanIbne Amin, Md Alamgir Hossain, SM Mahbubur Rahman, Jannatul Firdous Akbar, Mazahar Hossain, AKM Fazlul Haque, Dolan Barua, Kazi Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Mohammed Jahir Ahmmed Sarkar, Mohammed Shah Alam, Sumon Howlader.

A meeting of the newly elected officials of the board of directors was held under the chairmanship of election board chairman Syed Sadakat Hossain on Saturday to elect the president, senior vice-president, vice-president (Dhaka) and vice-president (Chattogram), the release added.

The elections were held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka and World Trade Centre in Chattogram on Thursday.
