Maksons Group chairman Mohammad Ali Khokon has been re-elected the president of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association uncontested for the next two-year term.
Khokon has been engaged in the textile business for the last 35 years and his companies, Maksons Spinning Mills Ltd and Metro Spinning Mills Ltd, produce export-quality yarns.
At the 37th annual general meeting of the BTMA held on April 10 in the capital, the election board of the trade body announced the names of its newly elected president and three vice-presidents.
The newly elected vice-presidents for the terms of 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 are Ahmed Group founder Md Fazlul Hoque, Abed Textile Processing Mills Limited managing director Abdullah Al Mamun and Group Reedisha partner Md Rezaul Karim.
The other elected directors are Md Mosharaf Hossain, Md Monir Hossain, Md Saleuzzaman Khan, Md Masud Rana, M Solaiman, Syed Enayet Kabir, Razeeb Haider, Estahak Ahmed Shaikat, Monalisa Mannan, Md Abdullah Zubair, Jobayer Ahmed, A Rahim Chowdhury, Hossain Mehmud, ASM Rakibul Hasan, M Hafizur Rahman Khan, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Syed Nurul Islam, Md Fayazur Rahman Bhuiyan, Md Kamrul Hassan, Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, Muhammad Mohsin, Md Azahar Khan and Rashidul Hasan Rinto.
