November 30, 2020: Many key project works have been disrupted in the industrial hub at Paradip due to non-transportation of light minerals such as metal, chips and sand etc.

The materials normally come from the quarries through highways. According to the truck owners and suppliers, the trucks were not provided transit pass while the quarries were not provided Y, R and K forms. So, they could not operate.

15 truck owners’ associations of the coastal districts have expressed dissatisfaction with the administration and demanded that the Government take immediate action to end their difficulties.

The transportation of the minerals too has been affected to the Paradip Port, IOCL Refinery, IFFCO, PPL and other industries.
