MSC, Maersk and CMA CGM have stopped moving non-essential commodities to and from Russia. Only essential commodities and humanitarian supplies are being moved. This Tuesday, MSC temporarily halted cargo movement to the Baltics, Black Sea and Far East Russia. The growing number of sanctions and restrictions being announced on Russia had forced Maersk to stop moving non-essential commodities to Russia. CMA CGM informed that it had suspended cargo movement to Russia until further notice, considering safety concerns. Measures taken by these shipping lines have ultimately cut off a major supply of shipping services to Russia.
