Maersk announced that its current Oceania to North American Westcoast direct PANZ service will be improved to better handle the congestion and operational difficulties affecting end-to-end logistics, most recently across New Zealand ports.

The updated rotation of the service will start from the port of Seattle in the United States on 27 April.

Maersk highlighted that the enhanced service will include weekly calls to and from Auckland in New Zealand, and continuous weekly calls to and from Oakland and Long Beach in California, US.

The rotation of the updated PANZ service will be as follows:

Seattle (US)* – Oakland (US) – Long Beach (US) – Auckland (New Zealand) – Sydney (Australia) – Melbourne (Australia) – Tauranga (New Zealand) – Papeete (French Polynesia)* – Surrey (Canada)* – Oakland – Long Beach – Auckland – Sydney – Melbourne – Adelaide (Australia)* – Tauranga – Seattle.

The destinations marked with the symbol * will be called on a fortnight basis.

“The new rotation allows for a more even port coverage in both Oceania and North America,” said Maersk in a statement.
