July 19, 2020: Maersk Line has introduced the new Jade Express service, which will connect Far East Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and Pakistan. The new service will commence on 3 September 2020 out of the Port of Colombo.
The rotation of the Jade Express service is: Colombo – Mundra – Port Qasim – Mundra
Maersk said that the ports in Far East Asia will be covered by its own network through pre-carriage connections to the Jade Express service in Colombo.
With the introduction of the new service, existing Pakistan Express and Pakistan Express 2 services will be terminated.
The last westbound sailing of Pakistan Express will be Xin Hong Kong (voyage 041W), estimated to depart from Qingdao on 4 August while the last eastbound sailing will be Xin Hong Kong (voyage 041E), estimated to depart from Karachi on 28 August.
The last westbound sailing of Pakistan Express 2 will be COSCO Kaohsiung (voyage 076W), estimated to depart from Shanghai on 6 August while the last eastbound sailing will be COSCO Kaohsiung (voyage 077E), estimated to depart from Karachi on 29 August.
