Maersk relaunches Oceania service

Maersk announced the restart of its Polaris service to assist to minimise customer impact from the current operational disruption in New Zealand.

Starting with the 1,762 TEU boxship Trieste Trader, which is expected to call Port Nelson in New Zealand on 19 March, the dedicated service between Australia and New Zealand will be reintroduced aiming to improve cargo connections within Oceania.

The port rotation of the service will be Sydney (Australia) – Nelson (New Zealand) – Timaru (New Zealand) – Lyttelton (New Zealand) – Sydney.
