Blue World Technologies has tested a 200 kW high-temperature PEM fuel cell module at its facility in Denmark and the results have exceeded expectations and will provide a fuel saving of 25% to 30%. Blue World will initially supply systems for use in auxiliary power systems for replacing conventional fossil-based gensets. The fuel cell system is capable of 100% carbon capture providing for the potential utilization in green fuel production or storage. Blue World expects the maritime system will reach a commercial level in 2027.
