Major ports record 87% surge in capacity over past decade

Between 2014 and 2024, the total capacity of major ports has surged by 87.01%. Leading at the front is the Paradip Port with 141.86 per cent capacity expansion, while the Kamarajar Port and V.O. Chidambaranar Port in Tamil Nadu achieved impressive expansions of 154.05 per cent and 150.19 per cent, respectively.

The Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port has increased its capacity by 31.29%, while the Deendayal Port in Gujarat has posted a remarkable 121.79 per cent capacity increase over the last decade.
