On Monday, state Industries Minister, Shahnawaz Hussain informed the Assembly that the Bihar government has started the land acquisition process for establishing an integrated manufacturing cluster at Dobhi division in Gaya district. According to him, the cluster will be included in the economic zones of the proposed Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor. “The manufacturing cluster will serve the demands of large and medium-sized manufacturing companies, as well as ancillary businesses.” Investors would be given land based on their requirements, according to Hussain.
For the project, the state government will purchase 1,670 acres of land.
According to the minister, the industry department is also working to create a ‘PM-Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM-MITRA) park in East Champaran. “The manufacturing cluster will cater to the needs of big and medium scale manufacturing units including ancillary units. Investors will be provided with land as per their needs,” Hussain said.
