Mawani signs deal for new logistics centre in Dammam

Mawani has signed an investment agreement with consumer technical retailer United Electronics Company (eXtra) to set up a logistics centre at King Abdulaziz Port.

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed an investment agreement with consumer technical retailer United Electronics Company (eXtra) to set up a state-of-the-art logistics centre at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The logistics and distribution center is expected to be over 32,000 m² and will feature port-centric warehouses and storage yards designed to handle a wide range of multi-brand products and appliances, according to Mawani.

The deal is valued at US$9.3 million and was signed at the Mawani headquarters by Mawani president Omar Hariri, and Abduljabbar Mohamed Abduljabbar, chairman of United Electronics Company.

The agreement’s duration shall be 10 years.
