The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) held its 12th Executive Committee meeting at The Ashok in New Delhi, which was attended by all office-bearers and a large number of EC members of the Federation.
The occasion saw the special invitees Mr John Joseph, Member (Tax Policy), Additional Charge-Member (IT, Legal & CV) CBIC, and Mr L. Satya Srinivasa, Joint Secretary Customs, government of India, address and interact on current operational issues pertaining to Customs and fast clearance of cargo across the country.
Later, the Executive Committee focused on the ground situation and the role of FFFAI in jointly resolving the issues with the government. The meeting also discussed the forthcoming AGM scheduled to take place on September 27 and 28, 2019 in Chennai. The AGM will see the election of the new committee of FFFAI for the period 2019-20 and 2020-21, informed a release.
