The Chakradharpur railway division of the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone, has introduced new facilities to ease business with freight customers. As announced by the railway ministry, the CKP division has introduced a rake allotment system for iron ore through FOIS (freight operations information system), to bring transparency and efficiency in the allotment of rakes.
The division has introduced e-payment facility to facilitate customers to pay freight through EPS from any loading point without any financial implications and also introduced e-demand registration to facilitate customers to register online demands anytime from anywhere. In addition to this, web based rates branch system, which is a tool for freight customers to plan their freight loading and automatic freight rebate system, among others, have been introduced in the division.
