MMLPs have been announced in Gorakhpur, Ranchi, Bikaner, Tuticorin, and Siliguri, while construction has already started for a logistics park in Jogighopa of Assam, which is slated to complete by March 2024. The Assam government has provided a fund of ₹693.97 crore and 317-acre land near the Brahmaputra river for the project.
Work is also set to begin for a MMLP each in Nagpur and Chennai. The PM Gati Shakti Plan and Bharatmala Pariyojana have almost 35 MMLPs chalked out to provide world class infrastructure for multimodal connectivity, ultimately developing larger number of logistics hubs in the country. Tenders have been invited for conducting pre-feasibility studies for MMLPs in Tripura, Tuticorin, Jodhpur, Gorakhpur, Siliguri, Ranchi, Haridwar, Bikaner and Dighi.
