Industry experts opine that it is more convenient for shipping from India to the US East Coast ports rather than to the West Coast of the US.

In spite of the ships making a detour around the Cape of Good Hope, the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) connects to the inland markets across the Southeast and Midwest U.S. in lesser time as compared to the West Coast ports.

The WIN service offers a weekly route from Bin Qasim, Hazira, Nhava Sheva, and Mundra to New York and Savannah. It also offers a weekly routing from Nhava Sheva and Mundra to the U.S. East Coast.
