The Odisha government has partnered with IIT Madras to develop a comprehensive Maritime Perspective Plan (OMPP) for the state. This plan aims to address key challenges and opportunities in the maritime sector, including port development, cargo evacuation, and coastal community development.
The OMPP will involve extensive stakeholder consultations to gather insights and ensure a holistic approach to maritime development. The state government is also focused on improving agricultural productivity by implementing measures such as rice fallow management and soil health improvement. These initiatives are expected to benefit farmers and contribute to the state’s overall economic growth.
