Om Logistics Ltd, a market leader in the segment, in order to accelerate its door-to-door express service and further strengthen its warehousing network, has recently inaugurated a new warehouse at Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh (South Zone) and a new transport hub at Hodal, Haryana (North Zone). Anantpur and Hodal are two strategically important locations for the organization as per the growing industrial area developments.

Om Logistics has commenced operations of its new warehouse, further empowering door-to-door express services at Anantpur, especially to cater for the automobile industry clients. Similarly, Hodal is the new transportation hub of North zone. The new multipoint hub is associated with a 50,000 square feet warehousing facility to cater to the increased express transportation needs. The company is currently handling 500 to 600 tons of cargo per day which is expected to be doubled shortly.

The Anantpur warehouse is divided into two phases, the first phase warehouse facility which is currently operational is spread over a covered area of 30,000 square feet and the company has worked efficiently to provide state-of-the-art warehousing services to its niche clientele. The warehousing facility has an inbuilt capacity to load or unload up to 20 vehicles at once, using hydraulic machinery and wood and fibre pallets. The company’s prime focus is to optimize cost and time with efficient door-to-door express deliveries.

The organization strongly follow all necessary and universally recognized standards in its warehouses and has followed six basic warehousing procedures in this warehouse which include receiving, physical quality check, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Currently, 30 to 40 tonnes of cargo per day is being successfully handled at Anantapur, which is expected to be doubled in the coming time. The second phase of the warehouse, which is expected to come up by the beginning of the new year, will have almost the same covered area. The ongoing expansion of warehousing facilities and a transportation hub would be very helpful in swiftly moving the door-to-door express services of Om Logistics Ltd.
