Average revenue per TEU also increases

For the full year of 2017 (ended December 31, 2017), OOCL’s total volumes increased by 3.6 per cent over the same period of the previous year and total revenues recorded 15.4 per cent growth. Loadable capacity increased by 5.1 per cent. The overall load factor was 1.2 per cent lower than the same period of 2016. Overall average revenue per TEU increased by 11.4 per cent compared to the same period the previous year.

For the fourth quarter of 2017 (ended December 31, 2017), total volumes were 3.3 per cent down from the same period in the previous year. Total revenues increased by 6 per cent to $1,380.5 million. Loadable capacity increased by 1 per cent. The overall load factor was 3.7 per cent lower than the same period of 2016. Overall average revenue per TEU increased by 9.6 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year.
