In a glittering ceremony organised in New Delhi on the occasion of International Customs Day-2020, on January 27, Mr PS Atree, Managing Director, PS Atree & Company Pvt Ltd; Vice Chairman, Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) and Immediate Past President, Delhi Customs Brokers Association (DCBA) has been felicitated with “World Customs Organisation (WCO) Certificate of Merit” . The Certificate of Merit was handed over by Mr Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Government of India in presence of Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Secretary (Reveunue), Government of India; Dr John Joseph, Chairman, CBIC, Mr R.K. Barthwal, Member Customs, CBIC and many other senior officers of WCO and Government of India. This year Mr Atree has been the only recipient of the WCO Award from the Private Sector.
Commenting on the WCO honour he received, Mr Atree humbly attributed his achievements to the team PS Atree & Company, the company’s customers and industry colleagues who supported him to reach at this stage. “I am also expressing my sincere gratitude to CBIC, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance who felicitate and encourage private sector as well for their contribution towards smooth Customs Clearance and the Nation’s economy,” Mr Atree added.

He recently completed his four years tenure (two consecutive terms) as President DCBA. Also, recently Mr Atree was elected one of the Vice Chairmen of FFFAI for the second time, consecutively. In addition, Mr Atree has been a founder and governing Board Member of Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI).
