PSA Corporation Ltd and PT Samudera Indonesia Tangguh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together in cargo solutions and logistics global supply chains resiliency.

In particular, Global port group PSA and Indonesia’s shipping and logistics group, Samudera, will strengthen their strategic relationship by deploying their combined expertise: PSA’s global ports and logistics projects, digital and cargo solutions capabilities and Samudera’s logistics assets and regional feeder networks.

The collaboration in cargo solutions includes the development of trade corridors between
Indonesia and Southeast Asia and beyond, to provide multi-modal services, freight
forwarding, warehousing and trade financing services.

The longstanding partners will also collaborate in creating innovative supply chain products for sectors such as cold chain management and e-commerce.

To enable the work in supply chain and logistics management, PSA’s global supply chain digital platform, CALISTA™ will be used to bring together key physical, regulatory and financial services for Samudera’s customers.

This is expected to enhance cargo connectivity, create logistics agility, and promote greater efficiency across the wider supply chain ecosystem.

“Indonesia being the largest economy in Southeast Asia has huge potential to grow exponentially should it succeed in unlocking bottlenecks in its logistics and supply chain infrastructure,” said CEO of Samudera, Bani M. Mulia.
