Viking Destiny, under the agency of Samsara Shipping, loaded 6,016 vehicles in a span of 24 hours on October 20 and 21, 2017, comprising 2,870 Volkswagen units, 3,139 General Motor units and 7 of JCB. This shipment was the largest parcel size loaded on a car carrier at Mumbai Port till date.
M. V. Pagalia, under the agency of Merchant Shipping, loaded 1,202 vehicles on October 23, 2017, which included 604 Jeep Compass for shipment to Japan and Australia. The Jeep Compass is the all-new compact SUV having state-of-art intuitive design 4 x 4 capacity and 7 speed dual dry clutch manufactured exclusively in India. This was the first shipment of Jeep vehicles to developed countries and many more such shipments are expected in the near future.
With these shipments, a total of 1,30,250 vehicles have been shipped this year from April 1, 2017 to October 24, 2017 through Mumbai Port.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
