Romeeta Bundela has silenced all the nay sayers and critics by carving a space for herself in the so-called male dominated maritime sector. She completed her Electro Technical Officer course at the Tolani Maritime institute to become the first female cadet for completing the training from the institute. She stepped on-board Maersk to work as the single women crew along with 20 men. With her dedication and perseverance she soon ascended from ETO to senior roles, including to become the youngest and first lady electrical superintendent in the shipping line’s history. Earlier, during the pandemic she served on a cargo vessel in China for straight 9 months exemplifying grit in overcoming diversity.
