The cruise terminal will be utilised for international and domestic cruise vessels and will be integrated with Ro-Pax and ferry services. The Ro-Pax and ferry services will benefit international and domestic cruise tourists crossover to North Goa and other tourist destinations using waterways transportation.

The project is being jointly funded by the Union ministry of tourism and the Union ministry of ports, shipping and waterways under the Sagarmala scheme. A private operator will invest Rs 21 crore to operate the cruise terminal.
