Sattva Logistics Group, one of the country’s leading logistics service providers, as part of its constant upgrading of the control procedures and automation of operations in a simple manner, has developed a customised app (Android app) for real-time capturing and recording of export cargo stuffing activity.
The app was launched recently in Chennai by Ms Sudha Koka, IRS, Commissioner of Customs, Chennai.
The app, called “Snapsecure”, can be installed in portable media, either in an Android mobile phone or tablet system, and facilitates recording of stuffing activity in all stages, including delivery of truck with export container and Gate-Out status. The recorded images/videos and consignment details are put on the Cloud Server for storage and future retrieval.
In addition, such records can be seen by respective CHA, exporter and Customs officials in the app, using allotted user Id and passwords.
Some of the app’s salient features are:
* Real-time capturing of stuffing photos
* Digi monitoring of cargo stuffing
* Cloud-based server for storage of data
* Audit trail facility
* Access to Customs office and customers to view the updated status of the consignments
* Easy to retrieve images/videos and data at any point of time
* Well-defined functional roles/user ids
The app enables recording and monitoring of the export cargo stuffing process through 12-point checking (container and cargo; see image) at the time of stuffing.
