Basically this is an expansion we are doing in Hyderabad. We have an existing facility here and we have outgrown it, so we are starting a new factory here at GMR Aerocity. They will give us the building in May (2023) and it will take some time to do the internal infrastructure and make it ready for production, therefore by September-October 2023, we should be ready with it, reveals Javed Ahmad, Sr. Vice President, Global Supply Chain, International Region, Schneider Electric.

Javed added, “We are going to do a large amount of export from this factory, about 70-75% but we will also sell the same products locally. Here we are having this facility dedicated to power products and this will be basically power components and we are planning to use this facility to export and serve our needs globally. We will be exporting in Asia, Europe, Japan and some production to the US.”

“This facility will be in 18 acres, 200,000 square feet facility and we are also in discussion to have a phase-II of the project. Right now it is not finalized but we do envision a phase-II of this project at some point of time. We will take a call once this facility is fully functional in the next 12-15 months.”

Digital twin technology is being deployed and we also have the world supply chain digitized right from the demand to when we ship the products and when it reaches the customers. We are able to track the whole supply chain end-to-end through this technology.
