[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) has reported a net profit of Rs 7.25 crore for the financial quarter ended December 31, 2016 (Q3 2016-17), as compared to a loss of Rs 20 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2016 (Q2 2016-17). With this, SCI’s net profit for the nine month period ended December 31, 2016 has increased to Rs 43.16 crore, said a release.
Increase in the operating income of the company during Q3 2016-17 is mainly attributed to the rise in tanker freights. Increased revenue in the offshore and liner segments of SCI has further added to the profitability, the release pointed out.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
