A detailed programme has been placed before the Union Cabinet for approval with an investment potential of 4-5 lakh crores. It involves providing seamless logistics connectivity to various mining clusters PAN India. The vision is to reduce logistics cost for mineral industry. It is learnt that a detailed plan on the subject, which was circulated to the concerned ministries and government departments has received approval from the same. The scheme will be particularly helpful to the power and cement sectors which are largely dependent on coal supply.
